Responsibility
Based in Atyrau, Kazakhstan, we are looking for a qualified accountant to join us as the Regional Financial Director for the CIS Region. In this role it would have to provide leadership, develop strategic direction and manage all processes and procedures within the finance department of the region supervising the different accounting service business units ensuring effective and efficient management of resources. The primarily responsibilities would include control of the profitability of the regional operation; dealing with reporting deadlines and standards; providing ad-hoc financial information, ensuring that the organisation remains compliant with all legislative financial requirements, regulatory accounting standards and financial best practice and forming the strategy as well as implementing financial processes and systems in order to aid its growth.

The successful candidate must have at least 5 years of previous experience gained within the industry or have worked specifically on oil and gas clients and have a completed and recognised Accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA). It will have demonstrable experience developing financial systems, policies and procedures, managing a financial team and performing to high standards in this area. Key personal qualities required include strong commercial drive, excellent interpersonal skills and committed leadership. The position requires to be prepared to travel frequently outside Kazakhstan when it's required and it must be fluent in writing and speaking Russian and English.
